Pornographic Covers

Feature Requests

Hi there. Below you’ll find something that showed on my page and which has been growing in number. I can’t find a way to block it or remove it thus far. Frankly it’s distasteful and enough to make me consider not doing business here. Any chance you might make people posting degrading crap like this flag them so that some of us to have to see this crap?

Thanks for flagging this, and I'm sorry you've run into this, because we actually have a system in place to handle exactly this situation.

We do allow NSFW titles to be listed on HipComic. But anywhere they'd appear publicly, the homepage, search results, and so on, we automatically blur them. The only place a cover shows unblurred is on the listing page itself. Sellers can't turn this off or override it, and they don't have to do anything for it to kick in. It happens automatically on our end, based on a few factors: the series and issue number, plus the cover image itself, which gets analyzed and flagged.

That system works well in the large majority of cases, but it isn't perfect, and every so often a cover that should have been blurred slips through. If you spot one, email the listing ID to support@hipcomic.com and we'll review it accordingly.

To be honest I’m not encountering this smut on other sites so I’ll probably just stop using this one since you don’t have a problem with degrading the women in comics etc. That was very disappointing to hear. Whatever it is you are doing it’s not enough.
